We arrived in Bulgaria and were greeted by the car rental company! A very friendly chap from Sikon Car Rental Group in Sofia.
We had arranged to stay at the Zarazen hotel on the outskirts of Kardjali. We arrived and once again greeted, we had arranged to meet up with Bulgarian Properties and have found them to be just as friendly as everyone we met up with in Bulgaria.
They put me off houses that may be falling down, houses that were not able to be connected to the electricity supply and houses that really were not suitable for me! We were driven around to view a lot of houses over the week we spent there.
Alas I didn't find the house of my dreams, perhaps I'm just to fussy because a lot of property is for sale there and as Bulgaria is now an EU member it is much easier to buy there.
Oh well, it just means I will have to pay another visit to this beautiful, scenic and green land, a land where eco really matters and nothing goes to waste as they recycle everything!
