there are many damms and naturally flowing rivers in Bulgaria. In the heat of the summer sun, most had dried up all barr little puddles of stagnant river water. Then the August rains came to replenish these spectacular rivers. The damms were opened for a tad, just to help these rivers flow to the very scenic Bulgarian countryside and all the agriculture in evidence all around Bulgaria.
The Bulgarians really do know how to take care of their own piece of Mother Earth.
